Historic Fortress Reopens After Five-Year Restoration

After five years behind scaffolding, the old stone fortress on the hill has reopened its gates to visitors, with repaired towers, new walkways and a refreshed exhibition.

Craftspeople used traditional tools and local stone to rebuild the damaged walls, keeping as much of the original structure as possible.

Entry is free for local residents during the first month, and guided tours run every afternoon.
