Open-source contributor and mentor

I started writing code in college, long before I knew what “open source” meant. A small reservation system for a neighborhood café sparked the satisfaction I still chase today: making something useful and solving a real problem.

01 Building with purpose

I found my way into web development while helping local organizations improve their publishing workflows. What began as practical problem-solving became a long-term craft. Today, I design back-end systems and custom tools for teams working across education, commerce, and community services.

Whether the work involves a data integration, modular architecture, or a high-traffic publishing system, I enjoy turning complex needs into clear, extensible solutions. I’m especially interested in performance, accessibility, and maintainable code.

02 Showing up for open source

I’ve contributed to open-source projects since 2019 through testing, documentation, translation, and community support. The work is often quiet: reproducing a bug, clarifying an instruction, or helping someone take their first confident step.

I also volunteer at local technology gatherings and introductory contribution workshops. The title matters less than the opportunity to welcome first-time contributors and learn alongside people with different experiences.

Why I contribute

“Someone else did it for me.”

I learned because others documented, translated, built, and shared their work. Contributing back is the most natural way I know to say thank you—and to keep the open web healthy for the next generation.

If you’re thinking about contributing, my advice is simple: just start. You don’t need permission. You’re already welcome.

I enjoy meeting developers, contributors, and curious people. If there’s something we should build or talk through, I’d be glad to hear from you.
